Lorenzo with roots in Surinam started with Breakdance/Streetdance on his 18th. Not long after that, he became interested in other styles such as Capoeira and he learned to play music. Then he came into contact with Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Zouk and classic and he followed a three years training for dance instructor.

His experience in dance grew rapidly. Once in the Netherlands, he followed and completed several teacher trainings. In addition to the dance lessons, he gives Zumba at various dance and gyms and he is working on various dance projects in for example schools. He also gives dance performances in different styles. During his dance career several times he got awards. For example, he twice earned the title of ‘Best Dancer’ at the annual International Beach Festival in Suriname and he was 2nd in the Surinamese version of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. To keep his experience, he regularly attends classes, courses and workshops from several major teachers. He also followed a training Kizomba and Zouk.

During his lessons Lorenzo believes it is important that we respect each other and everyone on the dance floor. His goal is to make you a better dancer. There is certainly attention to technique, but pleasure is most important. In his Zouk style you can recognize his broad dance experience. Classes are taught together with Marije and Rianne.
